34 arrested, more than 33,000 marijuana plants seized in San Bernardino County

34 people have been arrested during a seven-day anti-marijuana operation in San Bernardino County.

During the week-long operation known as the “Hammer Strike,” investigators seized 33,189 marijuana plants, 8,588 pounds of processed marijuana, nine guns and over $ 24,000 in cash.

According to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, investigators eradicated a total of 211 greenhouses found in various locations, as well as two indoor locations.

Investigators have served 26 search warrants in Lucerne Valley, San Bernardino, Twentynine Palms, Wonder Valley, Helendale, Newberry Springs, Pinon Hills, Phelan, Daggett, Barstow and Rancho Cucamonga, the department reported.

Authorities have received numerous complaints about illegal large crops of marijuana both outdoors and indoors in these areas.

The suspects have been named or charged with growing cannabis on six plants, possession for sale of marijuana, illegal dumping of water and possession of a firearm with an erased serial number.

This is the 10th week of the ministry leading Operation Hammer Strike.
