Cedar Springs Cannabis Celebrates Grand Opening

A new cannabis retailer is bringing a hometown feel to Cedar Springs.

Cedar Springs Cannabis, at 10 S. Main St., celebrated its grand opening on Thursday, April 28.

“We are excited to open Cedar Springs Cannabis and ready to celebrate,” said Ryan Lafferty, Co-Founder and COO of Kush Design Studio.

Kush is a full-service cannabis consulting company working with Cedar Springs Cannabis.

The store will feature selections of Grand Rapids cannabis brands, as well as flowers, pre-rolls, edibles and other products.

As the third cannabis store on Main Street, Cedar Springs Cannabis wanted to stand out, Lafferty said.

“We wanted to do something a little different, and a local dispensary is the vibe we’re looking for,” he said. “We bring a local touch and local flair with high quality products.”

Cedar Springs Cannabis is owned by Tom Mabie, longtime Cedar Springs resident and retired business owner. Mabie’s goal with opening the store is to help the community, and Lafferty said the store plans to get involved in fundraisers and community activities, such as the annual Red Flannel Festival.

“Tom has lived in Cedar Springs his whole life, and we’re going to do everything we can to connect with the community,” Lafferty said. “Our hope is that we will be seen as the hometown local store.”

Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
