Gang who cultivated Hydro Ganja using artificial lights arrested, drug worth Rs 1 crore seized

During a massive drug deal, Bengaluru city police arrested four people, including two Iranian drug traffickers who were growing Hydro Cannabis and selling it in the city. Police seized Hydro ganja worth Rs 1 crore and other valuables.

Central Crime Branch (CCB) police said based on intelligence, around 1:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon, they arrested four people, including two Iranian nationals, who remained in India even after their expiration. The information we received was that these people were traveling in a Skoda car selling Hydro Ganja. The police caught them while they were in Kaverinagar within the confines of DJ halli police.

During questioning, the defendants confessed that they brought Hydro Cannabis seeds through a dark net and grew them in a villa near Bidadi, on the outskirts of Bengaluru town, that they had rented.

Police said, “The accused grew the hydro cannabis plants using artificial lights such as LED lights and UV lights. We also seized vacuum containers, an electric scale, 130 hydro cannabis plants, approximately 12.85 kg of ready-to-sell hydro cannabis, LSD tapes, a Skoda car and cell phones.

In December 2019, the CCB arrested three people, including two students who were obtaining hydro cannabis seeds from the Netherlands using the dark web and growing them in flower pots in their apartment in Kengeri.
